Malibu Cottontail Ranch Camp

Malibu, Ca.: Transportation is the responsibility of the runner. Car pools are suggested. The office will make every attempt to assist the athlete with phone numbers of other participants in their area so that shared rides may be arranged. Malibu is located approximately 30 minutes west of Los Angeles.

Check in time is 3:00pm, Sunday, August 3th, 2008. The first workout - a light run begins at 4:00pm. Departure time will be Friday August 8th, 2008 between 9:30am and 10:00am. Athletes who drive their own cars will be required to check in their keys.

Those flying in: Los Angeles International Airport is located about 45 minutes east of the University. Athletes should try to fly in to the airport prior to 1:30pm if possible. Athletes can also arrive after this time and take a later shuttle to camp. There are dozens of shuttles available. One is "Super Shuttle" 323 775-6600 or 800 258-3826, www.supershuttle.com They recommend going to baggage claim and collecting your gear and walking out the door to the curb. Outside every baggage claim you will find a "Super Shuttle" agent in uniform who will assist you into the shuttle. You can also use a "Super Shuttle phone inside baggage but they suggest just going to the curb. Cost is approximately $55.00 one way for the first person and $9.00 for each additional runner. Athletes flying out should set up a departure pickup time between 9:30am and 10:00am and should plan on flying out of Los Angeles at least 3 hours after departure from camp. When they meet the driver they should direct them to Cottontail Ranch, 1666 Las Virgenes Canyon Rd. Calabasas, Ca. 91302. You might also want to bring the map below with you to give to the driver.

Las Vigenes Canyon Road is accessed from either the 101 Ventura Freeway and take Las Virgenes Rd. exit (south), or off Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and take Malibu Canyon Rd. (north). See map below.
