Our
F.A.Q. At
Runner's Workshop we work hard to make sure every
part of the participants camp experience focuses
them on their running. A team of a dozen top
notch coaches have designed workouts which
provide athletes a great sampling of training
designed to develop their endurance, speed and
mental conditioning. The running is supplemental
with daily clinics which help the athletes
understand key elements to their sport and to
help them develop as a "total
athlete."
There
is also plenty of time during their stay at camp
for athletes to take advantage of one on one time
with our coaches. Additionally a great variety of
outdoor recreation is available at each camp for
fun and to build team unity. To help us
ensure the athletes are focused on their running,
the coach and counselor to athlete ratio is 6:1.
Each athlete is part in a group of 8-10 (with
their teammates- if they come with their team)
and have a collegiate runner/counselor who lives
with them. All males and females are housed in
seperate well supervised living areas. All
workouts and activities are well supervised.
Professional cooks are hired to prepare the
meals, lifeguards supervise all pool activities
and generally an EMT, trainer or nurse are at
each camp.
At
the end of the week they should return home
knowing what it takes to be a "total
athlete" and run like a champion.
